As we open the market for another season we reflect back upon what were some very different times. COVID Pandemic times or as Farmer Morris would say “How is your Pandemic going”.

You can shop the Market, order ahead on curbside or come and experience one of the first true farm market drive thru with all in store items available for you to purchase. Let us do the work for you while you relax worry free in your vehicle. With these 3 ways to shop here at Barrie Hill Farms we have options for everybody.

Starting with Asparagus (coming soon!) we hope supporting local is as important to you as it is to us. Sustainability in local farming is so important and is one of the main reasons that Barrie Hill Farms only sources Local Ontario grown fruits and vegetable for your selection. Want to get hands on? Why not make plans to come and try the very first Asparagus Pick Your Own experience ($20/pp). Included we will take you to one of our asparagus fields where you can learn a little about how they grow and then pick your own 4L basket to take home with you. Its like having your own custom farm right in your backyard. That’s what supporting local means.

With the market open we will start sourcing locally grown vegetables as well as most of your market favourites like fresh pies, butter tarts, frozen soups and Entrees. Come say hi to Market Manager Tom and meet some of our new additions to the crew this season. Chef Niki will be in the Kitchen keeping things baking and Morris and workers will be out tending to the crops in anticipation for an excellent year to help you pick local food and keep Ontario green!
