Raspberry And Peach Wine Spritzer Recipe

2 glasses of a wine spritzer recipe with peaches and raspberries

This Raspberry and Peach Wine Spritzer Recipe is a great drink for all occasions and is easy and quick to make.  A white wine spritzer is a delight on a hot summer day or a cold winter night because the fruits combined with the white wine and the chilled soda water makes this almost irresistible!

A Refreshing Raspberry And Peach Wine Spritzer Recipe

It was 38 C (100 F) here yesterday once you factor in the humidity so I decided a cool refreshing drink was in order once happy hour rolled around.  Luckily, I had some beautiful raspberries from the farms and this drink came together very easily.  You’ll want a zesty or aromatic white wine like Chenin Blanc, Riesling or Pinot Grigio for this tasty drink.  It’s as simple as adding some club soda, ice, raspberries, peaches, and mint.  You could also use peach wine and sparkling water and have similarly delicious results!

I thought I’d be clever and make some fancy ice cubes but those didn’t quite work out.  I tried freezing some mini rose buds in an ice cube tray but I should have googled it before to get some help.  This type of thing falls under the ‘craftsy’ kind of thing and I fail miserably in that category.  I figured it out later without googling.  Simply put the bud in the tray and fill it up halfway and let it freeze.  Once it’s frozen, fill it up the rest of the way.  Simple right?  Didn’t occur to me at the time!  I think it would be very pretty though and I’ll be doing it next time.  Just be sure you use edible flowers. Or some raspberries in ice would be great, too.

A Wine Spritzer On A Budget

It just occurred to me that this is a budget-wise drink for larger gatherings.  Your wine bottles will go a lot further and you’re finding a sneaky way to get some healthy foods into your friends, too.  There are less than 10 ingredients and all of them are not heavy on the wallet.  Are you budget conscious? I guess we all are, aren’t we? No need to spend lots of money on incredibly expensive wines, just go and find one of your favorites but don’t worry if you go a bit cheaper because the fruits will bring out the aroma and I am sure it will still be delicious! Update:  I met a wonderful lady on Facebook named Suzanne from Capizzanno Olive Oils and Vinegars who has made a wonderful suggestion for this drink.  She added 2-3 tablespoons of Blenheim Apricot and I just know it must have been fabulous!  Thanks for the tip, Suzanne!

What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods? It’s getting warmer here and I can’t wait to make this Raspberry and Peach Wine Spritzer Recipe again!
