Pumpkin Puree

Not just any pumpkin – a simple pumpkin puree will be the base of your recipes. Try this easy pumpkin puree recipe and unleash all the pumpkin possibilities this fall!
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Wash you Barrie Hill Farms pie pumpkin and pat dry
- Cut your pumpkin in half from stem to bottom, then remove the pumpkin “guts” with a spoon. Ensure you remove all seeds and stringy bits.
- Salt the inside of your Barrie Hill Farms pie pumpkin lightly, then place your pumpkin face down on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for approximately 50-60 minutes, until the pumpkin is tender, and skin can be removed easily.
- Allow pumpkin to cool, then remove skin. Blend pumpkin flesh in a food processor until very smooth.
- Store in the fridge for up to one week or in the freezer for up to three months.
