Not just any pumpkin – a simple pumpkin puree will be the base of your recipes. Try this easy pumpkin puree recipe and unleash all the pumpkin possibilities this fall! 

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Barrie Hill Farms pie pumpkin
  • Sea salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 
  2. Wash you Barrie Hill Farms pie pumpkin and pat dry 
  3. Cut your pumpkin in half from stem to bottom, then remove the pumpkin “guts” with a spoon. Ensure you remove all seeds and stringy bits. 
  4. Salt the inside of your Barrie Hill Farms pie pumpkin lightly, then place your pumpkin face down on a parchment lined baking sheet. 
  5. Bake in the oven for approximately 50-60 minutes, until the pumpkin is tender, and skin can be removed easily. 
  6. Allow pumpkin to cool, then remove skin. Blend pumpkin flesh in a food processor until very smooth.  
  7. Store in the fridge for up to one week or in the freezer for up to three months.
