Nothing compliments summer like a icy cool cocktail sitting around with family and friends. The smooth frosty cold refreshing chill your body experiences after taking the first sip makes you just take a deep breathe and smile.” Awww Summer”.
Strawberry Daiquiri comes from a family of frozen cocktails that all contain 3 main elements. First a citrus, it can be lemon, lime, orange or for a real pop add grapefruit. Second is a sweet element that is usually sugar, sweetener or simple syrup. The third is my favorite ” Rum”. Most traditional is a white rum but depending on the fruit you choose you may get a little creative and use a spiced rum that is amazing with a peach daiquiri or for a little tropical feel, good old coconut rum makes you feel like you are in the islands.
For a Strawberry Daiquiri my choice will always be white rum. Lighter in flavor and it compliments the Strawberry beautifully. Using fresh or frozen is completely your preference. Frozen makes thing easier because the ice is in the berry and all you do is buzz buzz and its cocktail time. With fresh you get the true experience of the season. Sweet & succulent perfection that gives you the true gift of the first berry of the year. ( Plus using fresh berries give for a sweeter flavor and that means you don’t need to add sugar. Wow now its a health drink lol).
However you choose to make your daiquiri always remember that every drinks tasted better surrounded by laughter and those you love.
Cheers & Stay Safe
